DESCRIPTION:PlatformUptake.eu is organizing a webinar on 16.11.2021\, 10:00 – 14:30h\, to set the stage for the upcoming matchmaking activities. During the virtual event representatives of each project’s stakeholder group will present gaps and innovation needs in the field and comment on technology developments and the potential of open platforms for the establishment of open market for digital solutions for active and healthy ageing. The webinar will continue with a short presentation on related EU projects which have contributed to the state of the art or are currently seeking to upscale the services of open platforms in AHA and AAL domains. The webinar will culminate with a panel discussion with experts in the field. \nRegistration and preliminary agenda can be found here. \n  \nThis webinar is part of a project that seeks to map open platforms in the Active and Healthy Ageing (AHA) domain and carry out an in-depth evaluation of the most representative cases (such as UniversAAL\, FIWARE and ActivAGE) over the course of 26 months. The project assesses the hindrance and success factors for their evolution\, to finally ensure the large-scale uptake of existing platforms and the development of new ones. \nDuring the next weeks and months PlatformUptake.eu organizes virtual events in which the project consortium will demonstrate to its broad audience in Europe and beyond its outstanding achievements and give interested organisations\, including providers of open platforms\, developers of technology for active and healthy ageing\, care and health care organisations\, and policy makers great networking and collaboration opportunities. \nTo express your interest for participation or presentation during these events\, contact the project consortium at office@platformuptake.eu.

SUMMARY:Workshop: Gemeinsam forschen auf Augenhöhe – Einbindung von Nutzer*innen in AAL-Projekten
DESCRIPTION:Die Erfahrung in der Praxis zeigt uns häufig – nicht alles\, was rechtlich korrekt ist\, genügt auch unseren ethischen Ansprüchen. Deswegen beschäftigen wir uns dieses Jahr im Arbeitskreis „AAL und Ethik“ mit den Fragen – Wie können wir Nutzer*innen und Anwender*innen von AAL Produkten auf Augenhöhe informieren und aufklären? Wie können wir mit Nutzer*innen und Anwender*innen von AAL Produkten gemeinsam gleichberechtigt forschen? \nEine der Herausforderungen dabei ist\, Nutzer*innen und Anwender*innen transparent aufzuklären\, jedoch ohne zu überfordern und/oder abzuschrecken. \nDiese\, in der Praxis oft sehr schwer zu beantwortenden Fragen\, sollen nun in zwei Workshops\, organisiert vom Arbeitskreis „AAL und Ethik“ und AAL AUSTRIA\, aufgegriffen und bearbeitet werden\, damit wir in zukünftiger Forschung Nutzer*innen und Anwender*innen auf Augenhöhe ins unsere Projekte einbinden können. \nDer erste Workshop\, der am (Dienstag) 16.11.2021 von 13 bis 16 Uhr als Präsenzveranstaltung in Wien abgehalten wird\, soll hierbei rechtliche\, nicht klar geregelte Grauzonen\, Interpretationsspielraum und den ethischen Umgang damit bearbeiten. \nFolgende Expert*innen werden bei unserem Workshop einen Impulsvortrag halten und anschließend gemeinsam mit Ihnen diskutieren: \n– Dr. Martin Kampel: Forscher an der Technischen Universität Wien; Informatiker und Experte für faire Algorithmen und Algorithmic governance in care \n– Erika Mosor\, PhD\, MSc: Forscherin an der Medizinischen Universität Wien; Gesundheitswissenschafterin und Ergotherapeutin\, Expertin für Forschung und Integration von AAL-Technologie in der Geriatrie \n– Dr. Christof Tschohl: Wissenschaftlicher Leiter und Gesellschafter des Research Institute – Digital Human Rights Center; Jurist und IT Experte\, Experte für Privacy by design \n  \nWenn Sie Interesse haben an unserem Workshop teilzunehmen\, laden wir Sie herzlich ein\, sich umgehend bei annika.gari@aal.at zu unserem Workshop anzumelden – die Teilnehmer*innenzahl ist begrenzt!
