SUMMARY:dHealth 2021 with new dHealth Pulse Series
DESCRIPTION:Since 2007 the dHealth conference series has been organized by the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology and the Austrian Working Group of Health Informatics and eHealth. Every year more than 300 people from academia\, industry\, government and health care organizations are participating. With this year´s motto “Digital Health – navigating healthcare through challenging times” the event provides a platform for researchers\, practitioners\, decision makers and vendors to discuss innovative health informatics and eHealth solutions to improve the quality and efficiency of healthcare by digital technologies. \nFor 2021 the organizers of dHealth were also introducing the new dHealth Pulse Series. In advance and anticipation of the actual dHealth conference\, a number of dHealth Pulses are organized. All Pulses can be joined for free to hear presentations about current digital health topics and have a chance to discuss them with invited experts. \nDue to the global COVID-19 pandemic\, dHealth 2021 will be organized as an online event. \n  \nWorkshop: Visualisierung von (Gesundheits)daten in eHealth-Lösungen \nDie Forschungsgruppe „Human Computer Interaction“ an der TU Wien veranstaltet gemeinsam mit dem Forschungs- und Innovationszentrum der Johanniter am 11. Mai 2021 im Rahmen der dHealth Konferenz einem Workshop. Darin werden zunächst Impulsvorträge aus Projekten\, die sich mit der Darstellung von Daten in eHealth-Lösungen beschäftigen\, präsentiert. Im Anschluss werden im gemeinsamen Diskurs Erfahrungen ausgetauscht\, Probleme aufgezeigt und mögliche Lösungsansätze überlegt\, wie EntwicklerInnen unterstützt werden können\, eHealth-Lösungen so zu gestalten\, dass sie von allen genutzt und v.a. verstanden werden können. DESCRIPTION:The UK’s Department for International Trade (DIT) in Austria\, France and Switzerland alongside the UK Science & Innovation Network cordially invite you to the webinar „Mental Wellbeing and Longevity beyond Covid-19: A View from Industry and the Scientific Community“ on 20th May 2021 at 13:00 CET. \nIn light of the unprecedented challenges which Covid-19 has brought for individuals\, families and communities across the globe\, this event presents a unique opportunity to hear from leading sector experts and practitioners about the latest developments in supporting mental health and wellbeing. It will provide the chance to learn about emerging best practices as showcased through collaborations between industry and academia. \nDrawing upon shared experiences\, the DIT aims to encourage partnerships between the UK and host countries\, including Austria\, France and Switzerland\, to promote good mental wellbeing across different groups and communities\, and to explore opportunities to embed a whole-system approach to mental health and wellbeing. \nThis event will be held online and is free of charge. SUMMARY:Open Science Workshop Innovationen im Gesundheitswesen
DESCRIPTION:Die Medizin und das Gesundheitswesen sind von einem dynamischen Weiterentwicklungsprozess geprägt. Durch Fortschritte in Medizin\, Biotechnologie und Künstlicher Intelligenz kommen eine Reihe von Innovationen auf den Markt\, die wesentliche Auswirkungen auf das Leben vieler Menschen haben und ein Mehr an Nutzen für PatientInnen und die Gesellschaft bedeuten können. Die breite Anwendung von Innovationen\, die mit Mehrausgaben einhergehen\, stellt die Gesellschaft aber auch vor Fragen der Finanzierung. Gleichzeitig haben das Gesundheitswesen und Innovationen darin eine bedeutende Wirkung auf das Wirtschaftssystem. In diesem Zusammenhang ist eine breite Diskussion der Effekte von Innovationen im Gesundheitswesen wichtig. \nForscherInnen des IHS untersuchen im Rahmen des Forschungsprojekts „Wert von Innovation im Gesundheitswesen“ (Finanzierung: PHARMIG | Verband der pharmazeutischen Industrie Österreichs)\, welche Effekte Innovationen im Gesundheitswesen haben. Ziel ist ein konzeptuelles Verständnis von Innovationen im Gesundheitswesen unter Einbeziehung unterschiedlicher Perspektiven zu entwickeln\, das relevante Aspekte möglichst umfassend abbildet. \nUm den Diskurs zu Innovationen im Gesundheitswesen für Interessierte und ExpertInnen zu öffnen\, wird im Zuge der Studie ein Open Science Workshop am 27. DESCRIPTION:The AAL Programme is organizing an online event on 31st May 2021 that will give participants the chance to learn about Health & Care eco-systems as drivers for transforming European welfare in the 2020s. \nThe topic of the event is inspired by the current acceleration of interconnected challenges of health and social well-being to promote sustainable well-being of our society. It is widely acknowledged that health policies need to shift focus further from disease treatment to prevention and health promotion\, from fragmented care to integration of care and from sectoral silos to interprofessional collaboration. \nIt’s about turning the current crisis into an opportunity to provide wellbeing for all of us. Health is a public good that requires the responsibility and action of everyone.
