SUMMARY:United Nations International Day of Older Persons 2021 – Digital Equity for All Ages
DESCRIPTION:This year the International Day of Older Persons 2021 (UNIDOP) will take place on 01.10.2021 as an online event. It will provide a platform for multistakeholder dialogue and serve as a call to action. The theme of this year´s UNIDOP is “Digital Equity for All Ages” which predicates the need for access and meaningful participation in the digital world by older persons. The UNIDOP2021 will adopt a person centered\, human rights approach to ensure digital equity including adequate policies\, access\, digital literacy and safety for individuals of all ages. \n  \nObjectives of the event are: \n– To address digital availability\, connectivity\, design\, affordability\, capacity building\, infrastructure\, and innovation in the areas of public and private interests. \n– To bring awareness of the importance of digital inclusion of older persons\, while tackling stereotypes\, prejudice and discrimination associated with digitalization taking into account sociocultural norms and the right to autonomy. \n– To highlight policies to leverage digital technologies for full achievement of the sustainable development goals (SDGs). \n– To explore the role of policies and legal frameworks to ensure privacy and safety of older persons in the digital world. \n– To promote an intersectional person-centered human rights approach for a society for all ages taking into account existing/non-existing legal instruments in the field of digitalization. \n  \nFind out more information and how to sign up for the event here.

DESCRIPTION:Das Thema der Genossenschaft sowie das Interesse an dieser Rechtsform ist in letzter Zeit EU-weit stark im Kommen. Es werden vermehrt neue Genossenschaften gegründet\, Vereine in Genossenschaften umgegründet. Freelancer\, Ein-Personen-Unternehmen (EPU) und KMU schließen sich zu Genossenschaften zusammen\, neue Genossenschaftsverbände sind entstanden. Die Genossenschaft als Rechtsform wird nicht länger als verstaubtes Konstrukt wahrgenommen\, sondern – im Gegenteil – als Chance für Kooperation und Zusammenarbeit über alle Branchen hinweg gesehen. \nMit einem Business Treff will die Wirtschaftsagentur Wien das Modell der Genossenschaft sowie deren Vorteile erklären und darstellen\, für wen genau sich diese Rechtsform eignet. \nDer virtuelle Business Treff findet am 14. DESCRIPTION:In kurzen Impulsen präsentieren Forschende der TU Wien mit Wiener Unternehmen am 20. Oktober 2021\, 14:00 – 17:00 Uhr\, Arbeiten rund um das Thema „Digitaler Humanismus“ und Digitalisierung in Gesundheit und Pflege. \nDigitale Technologien erlauben es uns\, in wenigen Augenblicken\, fundierte Analysen über Krankheiten und deren Verläufe zu erstellen. Doch gerade bei „digital health“ braucht es Verantwortungsbewusstsein. Das Thema Gesundheit berührt viele sensible Bereiche. \nIn einem anwendungsnahen Unternehmensworkshop wird auf die Möglichkeiten und Anforderungen von digitalem Humanismus in Verbindung mit digital health aufmerksam gemacht. Bei einer Gesellschaft\, die stärker auf die Aspekte der Datensicherheit und Diversität sensibilisiert wird\, steigen die Ansprüche. Um auch zukünftig zielgruppenorientierte Lösungen anzubieten\, ist es nicht zuletzt deswegen wichtig\, sich den Fragen der Technologiefolgen zu stellen. \nZunächst wird in die Thematik Digitaler Humanismus & digital health eingeführt. Anschließend präsentieren ForscherInnen der TU Wien gemeinsam mit Wiener Unternehmen Projekte und praktische Anwendungen in verschiedenen Themenbereichen. DESCRIPTION:AIDEM 2021 – the 2nd International Symposium on Artificial Intelligence for Dementia Prevention\, Intervention and Care will take place virtually on October 29\, 9:30 – 17:00h. \nThis event is part of the 3rd Krems Dementia Conference organized by the Human Factors Lab of JOANNEUM RESEARCH DIGITAL. \nThe Symposium investigates the emerging use of AI-enabled intelligent assistive technologies (IAT) available to caregivers and older adults with cognitive deficits and explores the challenges in socioeconomic status and technological literacy as well as ethical and legal implications that should be considered in the design and development of IAT for older adults with cognitive deficits.
