Over the course of 26 months PlatformUptake.eu seeks to map open platforms in the Active and Healthy Ageing (AHA) domain and carry out an in-depth evaluation of the most representative cases (such as UniversAAL, FIWARE and ActivAGE). The project assesses the hindrance and success factors for their evolution, to finally ensure the large-scale uptake of existing platforms and the development of new ones.

During the next weeks and months PlatformUptake.eu organizes virtual events in which the project consortium will demonstrate to its broad audience in Europe and beyond its outstanding achievements and give interested organisations, including providers of open platforms, developers of technology for active and healthy ageing, care and health care organisations, and policy makers great networking and collaboration opportunities.

In this context, on 10.11.2021, 10:00 – 11:30h, PlatformUptake.eu project organizes a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) for healthcare organisations and public authorities. The course focuses on the identification and selection of open platforms and is especially designed for professionals in healthcare and care organisations, public authorities, health insurance organisations and other interested in the field. The MOOC will enable learners to build understanding of the use of open platforms and their benefits as well as to identify and integrate them in work processes and organisations.
Willeke van Staalduinen (CEO of AFEdemy) will present the draft online course. The participants will be cordially invited to provide questions and comments on the course and get engaged in discussion about it.
