04.11.2020

The Second Krems Dementia Conference about “Prevention, Timely detection and Awareness of dementia” will be held online from 16-18 November 2020. This event will bring together persons with dementia, representatives of Alzheimer Associations, researchers and policy makers to work on meaningful preventive strategies, bringing timely diagnostic and counselling services to persons with dementia and their families and motivate society to support these families and encourage them to stay in touch with life. In addition to that, there will be discussions about the consequences of COVID-19 for people with dementia and their families.

.

Within three days, there will be a variety of interesting keynotes, statements and discussions that not only focus on preventive strategies of dementia but are also trying to attract researcher and participants from Eastern Europe to encourage the cooperation between East and West.

.

Parallel to those workshops, the First International Symposium on Artificial Intelligence for Prevention & Intervention in Dementia Care (AIDEM 2020) organized by Dr. Lucas Paletta will be held online on 17 November 2020. The aim of the AIDEM symposium is to discuss the integration of intelligent assistive technologies (IAT) into care of people with dementia as well as its challenges. Drawing from existing state-of-the-art, AIDEM will suggest novel technologies and services for the design and adoption aimed at increased and equitable access for persons suffering from dementia.

The event includes outstanding keynote speeches from stakeholders in technology, science and healthcare as well as state-of-the-art scientific presentations and a demonstration session. Join the symposium via Zoom here.
